V.League 2023 Standings

During the launch ceremony for the Saigon Beer Cup 2023 – Central & Central Highlands 7-a-side National Championship (DPL-S2), OCB An Phu officially announced the “blockbuster” contract with former V.League champion Claudecir Junior. The Brazilian striker will also be the only foreign player in the DPL-S2.

Claudecir was once one of the most promising strikers in V.League. The Brazilian forward rose to prominence while playing for Quang Nam FC. In his first season in Vietnam in 2016, Claudecir scored 12 goals. The following season, he repeated this achievement. However, this time, his joy was multiplied as Quang Nam FC won their first-ever V.League title. Claudecir himself went on to win the Best Foreign Player award and earned the title of V.League Top Scorer.

After two successful years with Quang Nam, Claudecir’s career took a downturn due to contract disputes that affected his performance in the subsequent seasons. The Brazilian striker tried his luck in Hai Phong, Than Quang Ninh, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, and SHB Da Nang. However, he was unable to replicate his impressive form from his earlier days in Vietnam. For the past two years, the former V.League top scorer has not appeared for any V.League clubs.

Without a professional football career in Vietnam, Claudecir decided to join the country’s top amateur tournament. The Brazilian striker signed for OCB An Phu to compete in the DPL-S2. With the addition of the former V.League top scorer to their squad, OCB An Phu hopes to secure a spot in the Vietnam 7-a-side National Championship – Saigon Beer Cup 2023.

xoilac tv-The DPL-S2 will feature six teams: Gia Lai Cement FC, Hieu Hoa – Quahaco FC, Hong Lac FC, OCB – An Phu FC, Tay Nguyen SBC FC, and Dak Lak Lottery FC. The teams will compete in a league format to determine the champion. The Vietnam 7-a-side National Championship – Saigon Beer Cup 2023 for the Central & Central Highlands region (DPL-S2) will kick off on July 2nd in Dak Lak.
